Get to grips with all things animal welfare in this 1-day workshop. Taking you from the basics of welfare models all the way up to practical assessments, this workshop is designed to build confidence and critical thinking on what animal welfare really means, and how we can assess it.
Co-hosted by Sarah Bonser-Blake from Wild Welfare and Ellen Williams from Harper Adams University, we will uncover how we can use welfare assessments to drive forward positive change for the animals in our care.

- Introduction to animal welfare
- Deeper dive into the 5 domains model
- The differences between care and welfare
- Inputs and outputs
- Introduction to assessing animal welfare
- Practical session - conduct your own animal welfare assessments
- Reflections and discussions on the process, as well as the applications of the findings to drive change
